Caroline Mulroney Resigns
Big news just broke in the Ontario legislature: Caroline Mulroney has officially resigned from Doug Ford’s cabinet and from her role as the PC MPP for York-Simcoe.
This means that York-Simcoe, in addition to Scarborough Southwest, is now vacant and awaiting a by-election.
There is a strong possibility that Doug Ford will call both by-elections at the same time this summer.
And while that would mean we’d have to spread our focus across two ridings, it is a great opportunity to get our New Blue Party’s name out and provide twice as many Ontarians with a true blue option on the ballot!
We are now accepting candidate applications for both Scarborough Southwest and York-Simcoe.
You do not need to live in either riding to run there.
And you do not need a background in professional politics. In fact, it might be better if you don’t! We are looking for people with common sense and a belief in our Party Principles.
