Four years ago, on January 7, 2021, the New Blue Party was officially registered as Ontario’s desperately needed conservative party.

It’s hard to believe it’s been that long — but so much has happened! Here’s a brief summary:

Rapid Growth

• Within two years, we became Ontario’s fifth-largest provincial party, standing strong behind the PCs, Liberals, NDP, and just behind the Greens — who have existed for more than 40 years.

• In 2022, we registered a candidate in every riding and surpassed the Ontario Liberals in total candidates.  

• We gained the trust of over 127,000 Ontario voters in our first provincial election — the largest vote share and the most votes of any new party in Ontario since the 1930s.

Byelection Milestones

• We ran in seven byelections since the 2022 general election.  

• In May 2024, we outperformed the Green Party and nearly tied with the NDP in two byelections — a remarkable achievement for a new party.

Remaining in Good Standing

Since our first general election, we have complied with all of Elections Ontario’s overwhelming financial and legal standards, requiring nearly 400 filings, extensive audits, and significant time and resources.

That brings us to today.

It is likely that Doug Ford will call an early Ontario election this March, while Parliament is prorogued and an early federal election is off the table.

We need to be prepared.

Many ridings are filled, but we need a full slate of candidates.
