Chris Rees has over 32 years of experience in teaching, business and accounting and is a chartered professional accountant. Chris’ family resides mainly in Kingston and Montreal, but he has a background in Northern Ontario and the Toronto area of the past, in particular Gerrard St and Kingston Rd. He got his B.A. in Economics at the University of Guelph. A longtime resident of Scarborough and Durham Region, he’s dedicated to making life better for local residents and voters, regardless of background and age. With a strong understanding of the dangers of the “woke” curriculum in schools, Chris is dedicated to fighting DEI and critical theory in the public sector. He also understands the challenges facing Ontario’s youth and is particularly concerned with housing, calling himself a “YIMBY.” Chris is excited about New Blue’s shot at getting seats at Queen’s Park and would like to pressure the government to cut the HST to 10% and axe Doug Ford’s industrial carbon tax. Chris believes in the sanctity of life and is concerned about the implications of MAiD.

Dr. David Ghobrial is a dedicated physician, community leader, and advocate with a deep passion for healthcare, humanitarian work, and public service. Born in Cairo, Egypt, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1997 and grew up in the Greater Toronto Area. After completing high school with honours in Ajax, he spent 12 years studying and training in medicine across Canada, the United States, and Egypt. In 2014, he earned his MD from the University of Alexandria and has since worked as a physician in Egypt and other countries. For the past seven years, he has served as Clinic Director and CEO of the Beeton Walk-In Clinic in Ontario, transforming it into the most-reviewed and highest-rated clinic in the community. Beyond medicine, he is a devoted husband and father of four, actively involved in his local church as a small home group leader and Sunday school teacher. Dr. Ghobrial’s commitment to service extends beyond his medical practice. Alongside his wife, Samantha, he organizes community outreach events with the Thirsty Ministry, providing meals and worship events for the homeless in Bradford and the GTA. Their passion for humanitarian work has also led them on mission trips to Egypt, Zambia, and other developing countries. In addition, he has been active in local politics, serving as the founding EDA president and MPP candidate for Simcoe-Grey with the New Blue Party of Ontario, advocating for healthcare accessibility, community development, and family values. Whether through medicine, faith-based outreach, or public service, Dr. Ghobrial remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those he serves.

Wieslawa Derlatka immigrated to Canada from Poland over 36 years ago. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to working in a hospital setting, where she had the privilege of serving and supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in society. Placing people at the centre of everything she does, Wieslawa is a strong advocate for those without a voice and remains committed to promoting empathy, honesty, and ethical practices in all aspects of her work. Driven by persistence and a desire to make a meaningful difference, her commitment extends well beyond the hospital. Recently, she organized a nonprofit charity event, with 100% of the proceeds going directly toward therapeutic treatments for individuals with disabilities. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and community member, Wieslawa is guided by a relentless pursuit of truth, accountability, and meritocracy. She works tirelessly to support those in need and create positive change across Hamilton East-Stoney Creek. She is running in the upcoming by-election for MPP with the endorsement of the New Blue Party of Ontario—a party whose core principles align directly with her own.
