13 Days Left to Fight the MAiD Agenda in Ontario

Last month, Health Canada released its Sixth Annual Report on Medical Assistance in Dying in Canada.

This report reveals that in 2024 alone, approximately 4,950 Ontarians ended their lives through MAiD—representing nearly thirty per cent of the national total.

Even more troubling, Doug Ford’s PC government fully funds MAiD through OHIP, meaning Ontario taxpayers are forced to pay for the drugs and procedures involved.

Medical Assistance in Dying is not “health care.”

It is state-sponsored euthanasia.

For more than a century, our province led the world in medical innovation.

Now, Ontario has turned to ending the lives of its own patients.

This is just one more reason the New Blue Party is needed.

We are Ontario’s only party where grassroots members—not left-wing ideologues or lobbyists—decide the policies we fight for.

Here is one important policy that our members proposed and ratified at our Policy & Planning Conference last year:

Policy 36: Stop the MAiD Agenda

The New Blue Party will work to stop the expansion of Medical Assistance In Dying (MAiD) for seniors, those with mental or physical disabilities, or veterans and will instead promote palliative care to enable dying with dignity and care.
