We are Changing the Course!

The New Blue Party of Ontario is changing the direction of politics in this province and country—not by blending in, but by leading.

We’re proud to say that our principled stances are moving the Overton Window—the range of ideas considered acceptable in public discourse—back toward common sense and good government. And when we push that window to the right, all parties are forced to follow.

Here are just a few ways we’ve made an impact:

1. Axe the Carbon Tax

In 2017, Jim Karahalios launched the Axe the Carbon Tax campaign in response to Justin Trudeau and then-PC leader Patrick Brown’s embrace of carbon taxes. The campaign gained such momentum that Brown was forced out of leadership, and the Ontario PCs scrambled to appear anti-carbon tax. Years later, federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre effectively borrowed both the slogan and the strategy. We were ahead of the curve and permanently shifted the political conversation on the carbon tax.

2. Stopping the Spread of Drug Injection Sites

As the elected MPP for Cambridge, Belinda Karahalios stood alone for years in her fight to stop a proposed drug injection site in her riding—while Doug Ford’s PCs quietly pushed for more across Ontario. Thanks to pressure from New Blue, the government backed down from expanding these sites (though they continue to fund seven with tax dollars). Our fight continues, but the tide has turned. Last year, even Pierre Poilievre followed Belinda’s lead by releasing a video opposing drug injection sites. When New Blue takes a stand, others follow.

3. Fighting Woke Ideology in the Classroom

Belinda was the only MPP to vote “no” to Bill 67, an NDP proposal rooted in critical race theory that called for fining students for “subconscious racism.” Every other party, including the Ontario PCs and Team Derek Sloan, voted in favour of the bill. New Blue raised the alarm, and Ontarians responded by contacting their MPPs to voice their disapproval. As a result, the bill never advanced to third reading in the legislature. It was grassroots pressure in action—and it worked!

We don’t measure success solely by election results. We measure it by impact.

Every time we force the establishment parties to shift—even reluctantly—we’re winning the fight for Ontario’s future.

Together, we will challenge the left, balance the narrative, and change the course.
