Meet Wieslawa: Our Candidate in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek!
Another PC MPP is walking away, and Doug Ford is getting ready to call another by-election!
Hamilton East-Stoney Creek’s PC MPP Neil Lumsden is set to retire on August 4.
According to recent reporting from the Toronto Star, Doug Ford is expected to trigger by-elections NEXT WEDNESDAY, August 5.
This means the following ridings would have votes on Thursday, September 3:
Scarborough Southwest
York-Simcoe
Hamilton East-Stoney Creek
While the Ford PCs continue to leave their posts, the New Blue Party of Ontario is organized and ready to offer a true blue alternative.
We are happy to announce that we already have a candidate on the ballot for Hamilton East-Stoney Creek: Wieslawa Derlatka!
Here is Wieslawa’s story in her own words:
“My name is Wieslawa Derlatka, and I immigrated to Canada from Poland over 36 years ago. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to working in a hospital setting, where I had the privilege of serving and supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in society. I take immense pride in placing people at the centre of everything I do. As a strong advocate for those without a voice, I am committed to promoting empathy, honesty, and ethical practices in all aspects of my work.
Persistence drives my efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Beyond my work in the hospital, I remain deeply committed to my community. Recently, I organized a nonprofit charity event with 100% of the proceeds going directly toward therapeutic treatments for individuals with disabilities.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, and community member, I am driven by a relentless pursuit of truth, accountability, and meritocracy. I work tirelessly to ensure those in need are supported and to create positive change across Hamilton East-Stoney Creek. That is why I am running in this by-election for MPP with the endorsement of the New Blue Party of Ontario—a party whose core principles align with my own.”
While the establishment parties prepare to push more of the same left-wing policies, Wieslawa and the New Blue team are getting ready to challenge the status quo and give voters in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek a principled voice at Queen’s Park.
