On Tuesday, we told you that Doug Ford’s PC MPPs are taking a massive 35-week break from the legislature this year.
They have worked a total of 33 days at Queen’s Park in 2026.
After a 14-week winter break, the Ford government shut down the Ontario legislature for 21 more weeks of summer break… all while collecting cheques from the taxpayer.
Why? So that Doug Ford could posture next to Mark Carney on TV and bluster about Donald Trump?
Maybe the Ford PCs are giving a gift to Ontario’s lazy NDP and Liberals, whom they are known to cut backroom deals with.
Regardless, six months of vacation is ridiculous, even for the public sector.
