Did you know that here in Ontario, property rights are not legally protected?

That’s right — under current law, the government can take your land without your consent.

A fight over how much money they'll give you.

Since gaining office, the Ford PCs have not only failed to protect Ontarians' property rights, but they've actively trampled on them.

In the riding of Kitchener-Conestoga, government is threatening to expropriate over 320 hectares of prime farmland near Wilmot Township, all to meet Doug Ford's objectives — government objectives driven by PC lobbyists, of course. In March, these farmers were given a choice: accept the government’s compensation offer or have their land taken from them.

PC MPP for Kitchener-Conestoga, Mike Harris Jr., initially claimed that the Ford government had no direct involvement in Waterloo Region's plan to buy or expropriate the farmland.

He lied.

Since then, the truth has come out: the Ontario PC government is not only involved — they are using taxpayer money to fund this land grab!

On Thursday,  PC Economic Development Minister, Vic Fedeli, admitted that the Ford government is behind the move by providing taxpayer money to purchase the land.

So, what exactly is this valuable farmland being seized for?

It's a mystery!

Neither the regional nor provincial government will say.

But we all know that it’s likely to line the pockets of one of the PC lobbyists who run the premier’s office.
