Doug Ford’s $29M “Gravy Plane”
Ontario’s debt is projected to reach half a trillion dollars next year.
In light of this fact, what do you think the Ford PCs are doing?
They are finding new ways to waste the taxpayers’ hard-earned money, of course!
On Thursday, it was revealed that the Ontario PC government spent $28.9 million on a private jet for Doug Ford.
Since facing backlash from all sides, they backtracked and announced that they will be selling the jet. But the damage is already done.
The right — and conservative — thing to do would have been not to spend taxpayer money on a luxury aircraft in the first place.
But this is the corrupt, arrogant culture of the Ontario PC establishment.
We saw the same thing during their lockdowns: The PCs closed outdoor playgrounds, and only backtracked once left-wing voters and politicians denounced the move.
It was not enough that the decision would harm children.
It was not enough that grassroots conservatives spoke out against it.
The Ford PCs needed to be criticized by the Left before backing off.
That is because the PCs have been vying for Liberal votes for years now.
They take blue voters — their old base — for granted.
They are not moved by conservative principles, but by whichever way the wind blows from the political Left.
Ultimately, the PCs are nothing more than a provincial arm of the federal Liberals.
The New Blue Party of Ontario is the only viable, true blue alternative to the Ford PCs.
We will continue to hold Ontario’s corrupt political establishment accountable and fight for small-c conservatism.
The more momentum we gain, the more effective we will be at forcing the Ontario PC Party to move right.
