It Started on Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving Day in 2020, Jim and Belinda Karahalios founded the New Blue Party of Ontario.
Three months earlier, Belinda had been removed from the Ontario PC Party for voting against Bill 195, Doug Ford’s authoritarian lockdown legislation. It was proof that the PCs had completed their transformation into an arm of the federal Liberals, and they went on to impose some of the longest lockdowns in North America.
Ontarians needed a real conservative choice on the provincial ballot, so the New Blue Party was born.
This Thanksgiving, we want to say thank you to every supporter, volunteer, donor and member who has joined us since.
You’re the reason we keep fighting to empower individuals, strengthen our democracy, defend taxpayers, support small businesses, and stand up for faith and families.
