MAiD—Brought to You by the Ford PCs
In Doug Ford’s healthcare system, death is easier to access than care.
A 2025 Ontario MAiD Death Review Committee report reveals patients being approved for and given assisted death within hours.
At the same time, those same patients were still waiting for palliative care beds, long-term care placement, or basic home care.
This is not compassionate care. It is government failure.
After eight years of PC government, Ontario’s healthcare system is still overstretched, understaffed, and mismanaged.
Emergency rooms are closing.
Hallway medicine has gotten worse.
Palliative care remains scarce.
Yet MAiD, an irreversible decision, is being approved at unprecedented speed.
The time between approval and death is now reportedly a tenth of what it was when MAiD was first introduced.
Instead of fixing systemic failures, the Ford PCs are offering death as the fastest and most “efficient” option.

Your support helps us fight for a healthcare system that protects the vulnerable instead of abandoning them.
Doug Ford’s PCs have made their priorities clear:
When government makes death more accessible than care, it is no longer protecting people; it is failing them.
Ontarians deserve better.
The New Blue is committed to building a healthcare system where no one is pushed toward death because it is the cheapest option.
