Seven years of the Ford PCs. Still waiting for results.
When Doug Ford’s PCs first came to office in 2018, they campaigned on a promise to build better transit and roads — and to finally get Ontario’s projects done on time and on budget.
That pledge became their central commitment after they failed to deliver most of their 2018 platform.
But after seven years of Ford’s PCs in office, Ontarians are still facing the same old problems: endless delays, ballooning costs, and questionable priorities.
Instead of efficiency, Ford’s record on infrastructure has been marked by stalled projects, disrupted communities, and billions of taxpayer dollars spent without results.
Take the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit.
Originally promised to be open by 2020, the project is still unfinished in 2025. Local businesses have been forced to endure years of road closures and declining customer traffic, while commuters have no clear timeline for when they’ll actually be able to ride this line. Metrolinx has repeatedly refused to provide a firm completion date, leaving residents in the dark.
This is not a small inconvenience. It is the direct result of a government that is more interested in photo-ops and complaining about Donald Trump than in results for taxpayers.
For years now, the Ford PCs have prioritized the Greater Toronto Area, while failing to deliver the actual projects that GTA residents need.
And across the rest of the province, communities see their infrastructure needs ignored altogether.
Ontarians deserve a government that delivers on its word.
That means projects finished on time, within budget, and with transparency.
It means putting practicality ahead of politics and nepotism.
The Ford Progressives have failed on this front — and it’s time for something new.
The New Blue Party of Ontario is the only viable alternative to the status quo.
