The Ford PC Spending Spree is Holding Ontario Back
In May, the Ford PCs announced that they expect a $14.6 billion shortfall in next year's budget.
In the seven years that the Ford PCs have been in power, we've only ever seen them outspend the Liberals that preceded them. At first, they tried blaming their deficit spending on COVID-19, but when they outlived that excuse, they quickly shifted the blame to Donald Trump and U.S. tariffs.
The reality is that the Ford PCs have been lavishly spending our tax dollars to benefit their lobbyist friends, promote impractical green initiatives, and push woke ideologies on our children.
The Ford PCs have decided that these are the some of the best ways to spend your tax dollars:
They have quietly poured nearly half a billion dollars to push CRT and DEI objectives in education.
They are spending $75 million to broadcast new TV ads in the United States.
The Ford PCs were caught using the $2.5 billion "Skills Development Fund" as a slush fund to direct hundreds of millions of tax dollars to their top lobbyist friends.
They spent $9.5 billion on corporate welfare to companies like General Motors and Stellantis.
With the legislature back in session, the Ford PCs could choose to end their overspending spree TODAY.
They could also slash taxes, axe Ontario's carbon tax on industry, and reduce hydro rates to lower the financial burden currently placed on workers, employers, and potential investors.
But the Ford Progressives will never own up to overspending our tax money. They'd rather come up with excuses than obvious solutions.
That is why Ontario needs a real conservative party to take charge.
The New Blue Party is the only viable alternative to Ontario's establishment parties.
