We Remember
Today, on November 11th at 11:00 AM, we pause in solemn reflection to honour the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed in defence of our country.
From the fields of Vimy Ridge to the shores of Normandy on D-Day, and through numerous peacekeeping missions — Canadian soldiers have stood for freedom, democracy, and the values we hold dear.
More than 2.3 million Canadians have served in uniform since Confederation, and over 118,000 have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Their courage reminds us that the rights and liberties we enjoy today were earned through their service and blood.
Our resolve must not waver in remaining vigilant in defence of our freedoms and the democratic system built on the shoulders of those who came before us.
We must never forget.
