What's Doug Ford Hiding?
It’s a dark time for transparency in Ontario.
Last week, the Ontario PC Party rammed through the most restrictive changes to our province’s Freedom of Information (FOI) laws in nearly 40 years.
They gutted these laws to conceal the emails and phone records of Doug Ford and top provincial officials.
What are they hiding?
For years, the New Blue Party has warned that the Ontario PC Party is corrupt and beyond redemption.
Their latest move is just more proof.
By making these changes retroactive, the Ford PCs have effectively wiped out ongoing legal battles and FOI requests that were on the verge of exposing the truth behind their various backroom deals.
The PCs like to pretend they are “for the people,” but when taxpayers demand to know who is really pulling the strings in the backrooms, they simply change the law to protect themselves.
While Ontarians struggle with exorbitant tax rates and an ever-rising cost of living, the Ford government is busy:
Exempting their cabinet ministers and staff from public records requests.
Doubling the wait times for any remaining FOI requests, making it harder for taxpayers to get answers.
Killing transparency to shield the party from further investigations into their legislative scandals and cronyism.
The Ontario PCs are not conservative.
They are a tax-and-spend government that operates in the shadows to benefit their inner circle of lobbyists and insiders.
It’s time to clean house at Queen’s Park.
The New Blue Party is the only viable, grassroots conservative party standing up to the establishment.
We don’t answer to the cabal of backroom boys — we answer to you. But we cannot continue this fight without your support.
