A Liberal Majority, Supported by the Ford PCs

It happened again.

Another federal MP, this time Sarnia’s Marilyn Gladu, crossed the floor yesterday to join Mark Carney’s Liberals.

That brings the federal Liberal government to 171 seats—just one short of a majority.

And it comes only days after Doug Ford appeared in the Toronto Star praising Mark Carney and musing about a federal Liberal majority.

“I just believe in majority governments. As far as I’m concerned Prime Minister Carney is a good man. He’s a very astute business person. He’s a sharp guy.’”

— Doug Ford, April 2, 2026

Doug Ford may get his wish.

With three federal byelections approaching, the Liberals are closing in on a majority government.

And clearly, they have no trouble expanding their ranks as they draw MPs from other parties.

The Carney Liberals don't need—and shouldn't have—the support of Doug Ford and Ontario’s Progressive “Conservatives.”

But the Ontario PC Party has long since completed its transformation into an arm of the Liberal Party of Canada.

That is why the New Blue Party exists.

We must continue to give grassroots conservatives a real option on the provincial ballot.

And for the sake of Ontario's future and the future of our children, we will not stop, because we know that as soon as we do, the Ontario PC Party's lies and deception will go unchallenged.

But we can only grow this movement with the support of people like you.
