Clear & Terrible: The PC Record on Life Issues
Today on Parliament Hill the national March for Life is taking place... which the Ontario PCs oppose!
We are proud to be Ontario’s only true blue party that openly welcomes pro-life candidates. Most of our past candidates have been pro-life.
The Ford PCs deploy fake “social conservative” operatives to derail the unified, grassroots alternative we’re building—but unlike these operatives, we’ve never weakened our message for mainstream media or voted against our values to stay popular and useful to the establishment.
The PC record speaks for itself:
1. PCs Embrace Wynne’s “Bubble Zone” Legislation
Back in 2017, the Ontario Liberals introduced Bill 163—a “bubble zone” law criminalizing peaceful pro-life expression (yes, even silent prayer) within 150 metres of an abortion clinic. Every single PC MPP present voted in favour of the bill, including Derek Sloan’s co-conspirator Rick Nicholls.
In 2019, I stopped the Ford government from moving forward with a “bubble zone” application in Kitchener. LifeSite News briefly covered that story later—click here to read about it.
2. PCs Hide Ontario’s Abortion Data
In 2012, the McGuinty Liberals prohibited the release of any abortion-related figures. For eight years the Ford PCs have continued this attack on transparency, claiming that releasing the data would reveal the location of abortion clinics and put staff at risk.
3. PCs Prioritized Abortion During Lockdowns
When the Ford government shut down Ontario’s economy to “stop the spread” of COVID-19, thousands of life-saving surgeries and cancer screenings were postponed. Many Ontarians weren’t even permitted to say their last goodbyes to loved ones. But when it came to elective abortion under the PCs’ lockdowns, everything was “business as usual.”
The New Blue is different by design. We are Ontario’s only provincial party with a grassroots policy process. At our first-ever Policy & Planning Conference, our members proposed and passed the following policies:
27. Provincial Health Coverage re. Pregnancy
The New Blue Party supports defunding elective abortion.
29. Sanctity of Human Life
The New Blue Party supports the protection and dignity of all human life from conception to natural death.
36. Stop the MAID Agenda
The New Blue Party will work to stop the expansion of Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) for seniors, those with mental or physical disabilities, or veterans and will instead promote palliative care to enable dying with dignity and care.
We will continue to fight for our values and principles by challenging the left, balancing the narrative, and changing the course.
And while Ontario’s establishment parties build up their operations by burning through taxpayer money, we will keep building the New Blue Party with your support!
