Ford PCs Bragged About Record Immigration—Now They’re Shocked?
Doug Ford wants you to believe he's suddenly outraged by asylum seekers staying in Ontario hotels and not being permitted to work.
But we haven’t forgotten what he’s actually been doing for the past seven years—and neither should you.
At a May 2023 press conference, Ford bragged about record-breaking immigration numbers:
“We need just to bring more people in. Passport or no passport, let's continue bringing people in ... We're working hand in hand in collaboration with the Federal Government … We need more people here in Ontario. We had a record by the way—435,000 people landed in Ontario, fastest growing region in North America, bar none.”

Ford wasn’t concerned then. He was celebrating it. And last year, he doubled down:
“We brought in over 800,000 people, so we’re bringing in more people than Texas and Florida combined. We’re over 16 million people—we’ll surpass New York State in probably another 5-6 years.”

Ford has been working hand-in-hand with the federal Liberals, cheerleading record immigration and mass asylum intake, all while Ontario families are struggling to find doctors, housing is scarce and unaffordable, and many of our communities are at a breaking point.
Last week, Ford told Ontarians he’d start issuing provincial work permits for asylum seekers, only to backpedal days later.
After years of hotel shelters, jobless newcomers, and strained services, Doug Ford wants you to believe he’s had a change of heart!
But it was another empty headline. Another political stunt.
Ontario needs true blue leadership, not more Liberal-style theatrics.
Doug Ford and the Ontario PC Party have abandoned common-sense conservative values.
They’ve spent the last seven years expanding government, welcoming unvetted mass immigration, and cozying up to the federal Liberals’ failed policies.
Only the New Blue Party of Ontario has the courage to call out the rot in Queen’s Park—and fight for policies that put Ontario taxpayers first.
