When Doug Ford’s PCs first came to office in 2018, they campaigned on a promise to build better transit and roads — and to finally get Ontario’s projects done on time and on budget. That pledge became their central commitment after they failed to deliver most of their 2018 platform. But after seven years of Ford’s PCs in office, Ontarians are still facing the same old problems.
From Lockdowns to Forest Bans: Same PC Playbook
Hiking, camping, fishing, and even driving in forests on Nova Scotia’s Crown land have been banned, with fines of up to $25,000. This “forest lockdown” is draconian, arbitrary, and reminiscent of COVID-era overreach. Like Nova Scotia’s government, Ontario’s PC government imposed lockdowns — but went further than any other province.
