Ever since Trudeau’s EV mandate was first unveiled in 2021, we’ve been warning Ontarians that the Ford PCs’ handouts to EV producers were a waste of taxpayer money — and now the proof is right in front of us.

Yesterday, a true giant of the conservative movement was viciously assassinated while on a college campus for an event. A movement lost one of its leaders. And we all lost whatever last trace of innocence we had left. Most importantly, a wife lost her husband. A one-year-old and three-year-old lost their father.

This week, Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney paused the federal EV sales mandate. Instead of pushing back when Trudeau originally unveiled his “mandatory target” that all new passenger vehicle sales be electric by 2035, the Doug Ford Progressives agreed to spend Ontarians’ hard-earned money to virtue signal.
