Today, on November 11th at 11:00 AM, we pause in solemn reflection to honour the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed in defence of our country. From the fields of Vimy Ridge to the shores of Normandy on D-Day, and through numerous peacekeeping missions — Canadian soldiers have stood for freedom, democracy, and the values we hold dear.

Last Saturday, electricity rates in Ontario jumped 29% under the Doug Ford PCs — the same government that promised in 2018 to cut hydro bills by 12%. To mask the true cost, the Ford government increased the Ontario Electricity Rebate from approximately 13.1% to 23.5%. But of course, that doesn’t address the root of the problem; it just shifts the burden from ratepayers to taxpayers.

Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs promised to fix the mess left behind by the Kathleen Wynne Liberals — especially in our schools. But a recent study from the Fraser Institute has confirmed what parents already know: the PCs’ changes to Ontario’s Grades 1–12 curriculum maintain and even strengthen emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

The Ford PCs spent $75 million tax dollars on an ad campaign in the United States aimed at influencing American courts and Republican voters. Who produced this disastrous commercial? The same firm that pocketed $168,406 in 2022 for the PCs’ “Get it Done” slogan and $1.7 million for advertising and polling prior to Ford’s snap winter election.
