When the Doug Ford PCs took office, Ontario’s provincial debt stood at $323 billion.

Today, it’s projected to reach $459 billion — a staggering $136 billion increase since 2018.

The Ford PCs have been flooding the airwaves all week with performative announcements and soundbites — about alcohol, policing, roads — anything to divert attention from what’s happening behind the scenes.

What are they trying to hide?

The Ford government has announced plans to strip the public of access to documents held by Doug Ford and his ministers’ offices — records that would otherwise be accessible under Ontario’s freedom-of-information laws.

The legislation will reportedly be applied retroactively, meaning it will likely hide documents tied to the PCs’ “Skills Development” slush fund.

Just hours after our email went out on Tuesday, yet another federal MP (this time from the NDP) crossed the floor to join the Liberals.

That brought Carney's government to 170 seats—just two shy of a majority.
