At first, they tried blaming their deficit spending on COVID-19, but when they outlived that excuse, they quickly shifted the blame to Donald Trump.

This is happening despite the $15 billion corporate welfare package gifted to them in 2023. Needless to say, the Ford PCs' taxpayer-funded gamble fell short.

Ontario now spends $9.5 billion every year on corporate subsidies. That’s more than any other province in Canada — even more than Quebec, long known for its addiction to corporate welfare.
